Destin is the place where Corbin and Quincy are besties. It is peculiar and wonderful.
Aaron braves the chilly water to wade out to the sandbar every year. Every year I say “hard pass.” Its cold! I’m here for shells, soft powdery sand, and hot sunhine on my body.
And wave watching and dolphin greetings. And long walks with the children every morning and evening.
The rental had mechanical recliners and they were the best built in toy for my people.

We are back at our happy place and I do t have words to describe how good it is to be here. Hallelujah for the ocean. A huge load of pics coming as soon as I feel like taking time to edit the twins from them. I hate doing that so much that I just avoid it. Which means I’m behind on blog posts but I don’t want to do things I hate while I’m vacation. Instead I am playing, snacking, soaking in the sea, sand and sun, and taking glorious naps. NAPS. Like real, true, actual, mid-day rest. It’s been actual YEARS since I have been able to relax enough to just go to sleep during the day. My body and mind are so tired, and when I’m here, I’m actually able to just sit and rest and it is so wonderful it’s just surreal. I’ll be staying in this fantasy world until I’m dragged back to reality next week.
