Kasey have the children a color-your-own cardboard pirate ship. Mutiny was immediate and the older children quickly enforced directions on what color everything should be. They worked on it more than the young ones! I colored with them—super satisfying. They say coloring is a relaxation technique...haha perfect timing, K! Thanks for the fun!
It’s gorgeous outside. Our faces are pink to prove it. It feels wonderful outside and what a blessing the timing of this gorgeous spring warm spell is. We are watching the world green up again right before our eyes. Temps are perfection. We explained to the kids that THIS was the weather for 75% of the days were like for us growing up in CA. The children cannot wrap their brains around it. Really, it’s been so long since I’ve been to California, I hardly believe it myself, and wish I had not taken it for granted. We are definitely doing the weather justice this week by spending every moment outside and soaking in those golden drops of sunshine.
Muffin Mania:
Move over, “freshman 15”....we’re going for golf and gaining the “COVID 19” by baking all the things. We started with homemade soft pretzels, and then moved onto muffins. We’ve made banana chocolate chip, cran-bran and blue-bran, so far. Gwen’s famous pumpkin cream cheese will be next!
LEGO competition—Corbin made a jumbo version of a lego stack.
We’ve made two trips to sonic this week for our big outings. That’s it. Just hours and hours of each other and the sun. That’s what spring break is all about, anyway.
Now, if Reese finishes her English essay that’s due by midnight tonight, we should be free from school work until Monday! 🙌🏻
Stay safe, everyone.
And STAY HOME/away from other people.
